ALD Automotive at the FLEET Convention

ALD Automotive at the FLEET Convention

The FLEET Convention, which was held at the Vienna Hofburg on 14 June, was once again the place where Austria's fleet industry came together. The event is also a must for ALD Automotive as it provides the opportunity to talk shop with the many people who visit its stand. It focused on the challenges that fleet management is currently facing and the ones that it will face in the future.

The Vienna Hofburg was for the fourth time the venue for the largest fleet event of the year – 16 top-notch speakers and more than 630 participants attended the FLEET Convention on 14 June 2018 and took the opportunity to network and explore new developments and services.

One of the event's central topics was the new WLTP measurement method and its ramifications for fleet operators and drivers of company cars. The final discussion about ‘Die Antriebe der Zukunft’ (‘Drives of the future’) was particularly lively. Ing. Mag. Christian Rötzer, Managing Director at TÜV Austria Automotive, and his colleague Marcus Fehringer, Project and Innovation Management Infrastructure and Transport, explored fleets of the future, the advantages of electricity and natural gas as well as the effects of higher CO2 values on taxes and benefits in kind.

Mag. (FH) Edith Schatzinger-Langer, Sales Director ALD Automotive, summed up the event positively: “We're delighted that we were able to take part as an exhibitor this year and that we were able to see many familiar faces again. The FLEET Convention has become THE networking event in the industry for us.”
