ALD Automotive awarded EcoVadis prize for sustainability

ALD Automotive is delighted to have been awarded EcoVadis' silver certification for its commitment to sustainability. The citation in the category ‘Fair Business Practices’, in particular, provides cause for celebration: ALD Automotive was ranked among the top 5% of all companies polled in the industry. 

ALD Automotive Austria applied to be assessed by the EcoVadis international rating platform for the first time in May 2018 and was able to convince with the high standards that it applies where sustainability is concerned. With a total of 54 out of 100 points, ALD Automotive ranked well above the average of 42.4 points. The environment, fair business practices and working conditions as well as sustainable procurement are the areas that are assessed. ALD Automotive scored particularly well in the area of ‘Fair Business Practices’ and ranked among the top 5% of all companies polled in this category. 

EcoVadis Silver Certificate: A certificate that motivates

ALD Automotive Managing Director Martin Kössler says that the award is a testimony that motivates: “The EcoVadis certification makes our social and ecological commitment measurable and transparent for our customers and partners. This award constitutes confirmation of the course we have plotted and encourages us to continue working actively on broadening our sustainability strategy.”

The guiding principle that businesses can only secure their success over the long term if they combine innovation with social responsibility is firmly anchored within ALD Automotive's core values. Charitable projects, for example, have always been a high priority – the full-service leasing company has been supporting the SOS Children's Village in Hinterbrühl with a minivan for the children's groups' joint activities for several years.
