ALD Automotive makes wishes come true

ALD Automotive makes wishes come true

The Kindertraum Foundation has been making the wishes of children with disabilities or serious illnesses come true for over 20 years now. We want to help too! This year, instead of big Christmas gifts, we have decided to make a donation to the Foundation. We have made Celine’s dream of mobility come true with a special therapy bike.

It’s not long until Christmas. Letters to Father Christmas often contain wishes for Barbie dolls, Lego or other toys, not to mention the latest mobile phone. But a number of children have a very different heart’s desire. They dream about a few untroubled days by the seaside with their families, an assistance dog as a new best friend or of finally learning how to ride a bike. Like Celine. Celine is 17 years old and had been trying to learn to ride a bike for a long time. But her illness made it hard for her to keep her balance. So you can imagine what a magical moment it is for Celine and her parents when she climbs onto the new therapy bike and sets off on a short tour with her friends. What’s more, whilst cycling she is also training her coordination and stamina.

“Social outreach has always been a firm part of our corporate philosophy. So we are even more delighted that we have been able to make Celine’s heartfelt wish come true together with the Kindertraum Foundation,” says Managing Director Martin Kössler. The well-being of children is very near and dear to ALD Automotive. Together with its parent group Société Générale, the firm has now been supporting the SOS Children’s Village in Hinterbrühl with a free vehicle incl. the costs of all vehicle-related services such as servicing, insurance or tyre changes for more than seven years.
